Okay, so the majority of the people on my friend's page aren't quite Hanson fans, but that's okay. Because this concert experience was probably one that should go down in history as being absolutely insane. To be honest, I don't even know where to start. I guess at beginning?

Alright, so I had this plan from the moment I got my concert ticket. I planned on getting there early so that it was possible to get close to being up front. Everyone was telling me that it was crazy to go four hours before the show, but I didn't think it was so bad. I had reasons. Let me start by saying that this concert was different from other shows. There were only four shows until the large tour, and they were PREVIEW shows for new music. So, you had tons of girls willing to go completely out of their way (and out of their state) just to see all four of these shows. Yet silly me thought that getting there four hours early was going to get my close to the stage. Never under estimate Hanson fans. If you think getting there hours early is bad, you should go have a conversation with the girls that got there DAYS early. When me and my mother (yes, my mother) finally arrived at the show, I was just a little shocked to see that the line stretched for three blocks. Yes, three. Girls were camped out with chairs and blankets and sleeping bags in twenty degree weather... to see Hanson. So we got to the waaaay back of the line, after my mother and i tried to cheat our way closer, though the line did eventually shorten up once everyone put their stupid shit away. I will not even begin to comment on how fucked the line was when we first got there. There were two separate lines and everyone was bitching. I did make friends with all the girls around me, though. Two were from Brazil and the two in front of us had open toed sandals on. I was in my Chucks and I couldn't even feel my toes. Hanson fans are insane.

So, I waited the 4+ hours to get inside. They didn't let us in directly at seven, though. I won't even begin to discuss the girls who got in first just because they waited two days in their cars and paid 25 dollars extra for "VIP" to a concert that was supposed to be general admission. ANYWAY. Once we were inside, I got about... 100-150 feet away from the stage, which was not that bad compared to how many girls were actually in there. I had a perfect view of Isaac's side and Taylor's, but low and behold my view of Zac was blocked by a tall guy in a black hat. Anyway. So we wait until about 8:00... which is when the opening act came on. They were called Mr. Noth and they were rather good. Nothing too special but it went smoothly and they didn't play for two long. They finally got off stage and everyone got excited. Well, duh. Hanson was next. The only downfall was the fact that there were these two huge doors (which looked like garage doors) next to the crowd, and because the fire marshall was there and we were so over packed, they had to keep opening these doors. That would have been fine if it wasn't FREEZING outside. So not only do you suddenly have girls chanting Hanson, you have girls chanting for the stupid owners to close the stupid doors. The next problem was the fact that we waited over an hour for Hanson to actually come on the stage. They were slowly killing us. I kept having to tell myself that seeing them was worth it. Standing for eight hours without sitting down AT ALL takes a toll on someone. Later we find out the reason they were so late was because there wasn't any room for them to get on the stage. Girls were blocking the halls, the bathrooms, everything. Plus, I bet they were pretty scared.

When they FINALLY came on, it was all worth it. They were amazing and some aspects of the show really made my life. They all looked adorable and sounded amazing. I have no complaints about the show... other than I would have preferred more Zac songs, but three will do. The opening guitar part to "The Great Divide" got everyone hyped and it totally took off from there. I did eventually get a good line of view to Zac, even if every fucking camera was up in the air at the time. They are and will continue to be, perfect. You will never know a show like a Hanson show, seriously. In the end, I ended up about 50 some feet from the front. Not too bad for showing up the actual day of the concert, unlike some people.

My mother and I left during the encore. It would have been impossible to get out of there otherwise, and Song to Sing isn't my favorite Hanson song. As we were walking out, I was probably less than 10 feet away from the guys, but I didn't have the time to try and squeeze in to grab them. Sad. They looked happy though, despite the poor conditions of the venue. Crocodile Rock, you suck.

Highlights of my night: Zac smiling, Taylor Hanson being ridiculously good looking in person, shoe tying, flubbing the lyrics, THE WALK, the part in rock'n'roll razorblade where everyone clapped and all you could hear was Zac's drum beat and Tay's piano, Tay wanting all of us to keep each other safe, "our" ten year anniversary, 'Go' sounding even better in person, no wives visible, going home to rest in bed and talk to my girlfriend, being able to LAY DOWN.

It was an insane experience, but the band was absolutely amazing. I hated the venue and the waiting, but I couldn't imagine them putting on a better show. It was my favorite concert by far and to tell you the truth, I'd do it all again a million times over. People may put them down but until they feel what it is to live the music like you do at one of their shows, they will never really understand. So, despite Croc Rock's attempt to kill us all, I feel safe in saying THE MUSIC LIVES.
